Basilosaurus

Bas may not look it - not to the commonfolk, anyway - but she claims a long, respectable pedigree. Born under the proper name of Basilosaurus Gesserit, the Guardian's lineage can be traced back to dragons of power, fame, and infamy - Naomi the Glitch Queen, Ignis the Beast, the First Progenitors, and so on.

Her father took great pride in their ancestry. He'd pore over crumbling census reports and hide-bound tomes, tracing each branch of their family tree with care. Sometimes, the young Basilosaurus would watch, sitting quietly upon his shoulder and watching how reverently he handled documents she had not yet learned how to read.

His desire and responsibility to extend this line with further generations was met with equal dedication. As a result, Basilosaurus has an untold number of siblings and half-siblings, most of whom are much older than herself. This , ah...dilution of the family blood led to other well-bred dragons treating her as a lesser. (Foolish, of course. How many great figures could they claim in their lineage? One, perhaps two? Basilosaurus' heart beat with the blood of six titans; there was simply no comparison.)
