Noma is the matriarch of the clan. She is the caretaker, the mother to those she bore and to the strays she welcomes into the clan with open arms. Many seek her advice, her opinions, her acknowledgment. She is who the wanderers go to in order to request to leave the clan (she never says no - whether they wish to find a new clan where they can chase a destiny of their own, or if they wish to serve the Shadowbinder, Noma always encouraged their dreams.)
She was unlucky in love, searching for a mate, but always putting the care and protection of the hatchlings of the clan above all else. It was her decision to move to the Wispwillow Grove, as some of the more timid hatchlings feared the darker areas of the Tangled Wood. The glowing fungi of the Wispwillow Grove chase the darkness away, giving the hatchlings a sense of security.
