Sometimes I think about how horribly lonely I am. Will I ever get better? Am I doomed to want for an earlier time? All I do now is drink. I don’t even eat. My family, they try to feed me but they don’t even remember me as I am or as I am supposed to be. How awful is that? I’m with all these new people and all I want is to go back home and I can never go back home. I didn’t mind the apocalypse as much as you would think. I had my darling Marcy. My sweet girl. I tried to make sure she grew up with some morals and some normalcy even among the rubble and the dust. I wonder if I can ever go back to how I was? I’m mutated now. The crown changed me. And I don’t think I can change back. All I want is to go home and I can’t stay home. I can go to the place my mother and father were where I was for so long I can go there and see the ruins of what was but I can never go back to my childhood room. I’ll never have back my walls painted to look like the sky and the ground with the white crown border that was on the bottom of all the hallways and living room in the middle to seperate the sky and the ground. I think I live in that separation now. I can never truely rejoin what is living? What is this world?
