For guardians, their Charge is usually something big, and impactful. A place that needs protection, a dragon that needs saving, a magical artifact that needs to be protected… But Trick, well, Trick’s Search is finally over after meeting a Pomeranian. A small, fluffy dog with too much attitude. Not exactly the life changing event that Trick thought it would be, but he picked up the small dog and placed it on his back.

Turns out, taking care of a small, fluffy animal is way harder than Trick expected it to be. But the tiny dog is really, really fragile. And really, really ferocious. It will run into battle as if it’s a huge imperial, and will not back down no matter the size of the foe. And so, Trick tends to get into trouble quite often while trying to protect his Charge. He has fought a lot more battles that he had ever anticipated, he has even grown stronger from the amount of times he had to protect the small dog. But look at this sick scar on his leg though!

And, look at this tiny dog. Really, just look at it. Its mischievous eyes, its soft fur, it’s big personality… Over time, Trick has really grown to love the little dog. He just wishes that other dragons took his Charge more seriously. Dragons really don’t understand what it takes to care for a small animal. Getting sick of the constant stares and giggles, the whispers behind his back, and the way that others keep excluding him and his dog from activities, Trick just decides to leave his clan one day. He packs bags full of supplies, makes a sling to carry the Pomeranian in, and grabs a map to see what clan lives close by. And on one crisp morning, he and his dog set out for greener pastures.

To a place where they will accept them for what they are.
