Lydia
Coliseum Keeper - Psychic - Scam artist

'You can't study the darkness by drowning it with light'

Origins - Born to a rogue mother and father, Lydia spent her earliest days in the Starfall Isles. When she was old enough to fly, the three-member family suddenly re-located to the Tangled Wood. Her parents were extremely suspicious of dragons from the shadow flight, however, and kept their only hatchling isolated from all outside contact. In fact, Lydia didn't communicate with another dragon besides her parents until she was well into adulthood. Her mother was a fierce advocate for grace and good manners - claiming that her daughter would be 'ladylike and truthful as the Arcanist's maw' if it was the last thing she'd do. Lydia's father regularly left for long, unexplained periods of time. Lydia never found out why her parents even moved to the shadow territory in the first place, as any questions she asked on the matter were promptly deflected. After years of strict rules and limits, Lydia finally snapped. She crept away into the forest one fateful night, saying no goodbyes to the family that kept her. In a strike of rebellion, the skydancer ran her hands through a pool of acidic muck. The purple, bubbling matter had always been warned against by her parents. Supposedly, it was the Shadowbinder's tears- and upon contact, a dragon would become so wrapped with power they'd go completely mad. From the stirred pool rose a somber spirit - a creature that would come to follow Lydia for the rest of her days. Deciding the beast was a symbol of the Shadowbinders acceptance, she renamed herself a dragon of the Shadows, beginning her life-long journey of dark magic and general trickery.

Personality - After being isolated for so long, Lydia is fascinated by other dragons. She's always observing, and collects secrets like it's her life-work. Lydia is bold, manipulative, greedy, and quick-witted. As a psychic, Lydia has no qualms exploiting dragons to make herself some extra treasure. Despite being a Coliseum Keeper, she'd rather combat an enemy with mind games then physical assault. Lydia is excellent at unsettling an opponent to the point that they're too distracted to dodge her elemental attacks. She usually maintains a calm, coaxing tone unless conversation comes to the topic of her birth flight. Although she won't say it outright due to laws of The Attollo Order, Lydia despises most arcane dragons and hates the fact she's one herself.

Mate - Lydia's mate is Cora, a hard-working inventor that despises social interaction. When the pearlcatcher first joined The Order, Lydia was undeniably forward with her flirtations. There was no question of her interest for Cora. Easily overwhelmed by social interaction - particularly the romantic kind - Cora initially dismissed Lydia's advances. It was only when Lydia finally recognized this and toned down the onslaught that Cora admitted to her own affections for the strange skydancer. Sometime later they announced themselves mates. Both working as Coliseum Keepers, the pair spend a considerable amount of time together. When they have free time, they trace the territory on intimate walks - sharing stories and joking between themselves.

Clan Role - Lydia's main role in The Order is as Coliseum Keeper; where her and two other dragons are entrusted to the vital role of training dragons to send to the deities. Beyond this, she's often commissioned to work as a psychic - although her prices are infamously high.
