 Light, hatched in Light territory. Primarily uses he/him......Just because that's what he's most used to. Doesn't really bother to think about it much. Would identify as agender if he cared to decide on anything.  Travelling mischief-maker.Loves bugs and has a lot of Issues(TM). His favourite colour is purple, especially light shades of purple. |

✎ Story... [Need to (re)write this section properly... placeholder info.] Hatched into a well-established and rather prestigious pearlcatcher family, in Light territory. [location?] Has always been a black sheep in his personality and attitude. Didn't emote much as a hatchling, didn't adhere well to social rules, asked the wrong kinds of questions... but he was also an extremely fast developer, highly intelligent and a prodigy in anything he put his attention to. His talent was admired, but most other aspects of him were looked on with disapproval. One day his pearl was broken. Haven't decided the circumstances yet. Given the nature of his family, this only made opinion of him worsen. He patiently reworked what pieces of his pearl he could back into a recognisable shape, but it had still been broken. His poor reputation was cemented further and he eventually ran away permanently, though not without taking some choice family items with him. ran off and met a dragon called mysta something something about the shade ✎ Personality... He's a mischievous creature, and a deceptive one, too. Take nothing he says or does at face value. He loves to pester and annoy others, and he's always seeking out some kind of trouble or adventure. He's selfish and driven by his own amusement. Svern's emotional experience has been oddly muted since he was a hatchling. When he was young, he was naturally inexpressive. Internally, his world was static, any emotions like a brief ripple in a vast still sea. He didn't experience any sort of fear, guilt, embarrassment or shame. Others viewed his lack of expression and seeming lack of emotion as unnatural and unsettling. To fit in better and to obscure his lack of feeling, Svern learned to act. Practically all of his mannerisms are manufactured and his emotiveness artificial, along with the persona he portrays to the world. He also possesses an extraordinarily powerful intellect. A prodigy of a youngling, Svern displayed talent in almost any area he set his mind to. But this giftedness in tandem with his lack of emotional variation meant he was constantly understimulated. As he grew older he found himself more and more apathetic. For a long time he has suffered with chronic boredom, which he fends off by seeking excitement. His lack of fear or apprehension or care for his own wellbeing makes him reckless. Svern presents himself as whatever he feels like or deems beneficial at the time, but his favoured and usual persona is that of a chaotic and playful trickster. ✎ Appearance... He's a beautiful golden pearlcatcher whose figure is broken up by black vein markings, almost like cracks. Svern is somewhat smaller than average for his kind and has a relatively lithe build. He lacks bulk, but he's acrobatic both in and out of the air and likes being active, which results in him being stronger than he looks. Svern's pearl is carried tucked away on his person (dragon?) or stowed away out of sight. He sometimes treats it with an odd lack of care for a pearlcatcher. Although it does follow the round shape of a typical pearl now, the inner parts are formed of the broken pieces of Svern's original pearl, which was broken and glued back together by himself. He has added only very few new layers to the pearl since reshaping it. |

| Blanc. Bodyguard(?). Svern's... friend? Travelling companion? Bodyguard? Take your pick, more or less. Svern is Blanc's charge, for better or worse, and while neither of them asked for this arrangement, they're making the most of it. Perhaps they've even grown to become fond of it. |
