He lightly stroked the strings of his harp, allowing the angelic tones to dance about in the air, mingling with the magical mists of the cathedral in ways only a Fate could perceive. He had all the time in the world to hone this craft; unlike other Assistants, he found no joy in serving some uppity Author or Archivist. The idea of being bossed about by someone who failed to see his music as he did irked him. He had skipped every Assignment Ceremony he was eligible for, refusing to be judged like a tool by stuffy elitists. His time was better spent here; in the courtyard, where it was just him, the flowers, the sky, and his music. Free from judgement. Free from disapproving eyes. He closed his eyes as he began to strum the melody to an old song of Fates long gone; 'Cosmic Rite'. It was known by so few Fates of the modern era. A real shame, he thought, as it was a lovely, haunting song. As he lost himself to the music, he heard a soft feminine voice singing in the distance somewhere... "We have been crowned in stars The flow of time obeys Though we are the grand writers We know not our birthplace" Acheron looked up to where he heard the voice. Swaying to the rhythm of his notes was Mirage, one of the Authors. He had never seen her outside of brief glances of her writing in her room... As she slowly rocked her hips in time with his harp's sweet notes, she gave him a small smile. "I've always been a fan of that song." |

Acheron is a proud and independent Fate who never really liked the idea of being a simple Assistant to the 'higher class' Fates. If given the space to do so, he will play on the piano, the violin, or his trusty harp for all of eternity. Luckily for him Mirage doesn't seem to need a lot other than his music to help her write. He had no plans to become anyone's Assistant, but somehow or another ended up being adopted by Mirage regardless, and now serves her with his gift. The two can often be found harmonizing as they work. Acheron is a private dragon who doesn't show much interest in gabbing with other Assistants, and prefers to speak through his music. He isn't disrespectful to those higher up on the ladder socially, but does not idolize them either. |
