Morpheus is an overseer of the dead advancing to their afterlives. He tries to sympathize with the former living, but doesn't have a firm grasp on what it's like to be alive to begin with. He watches over multiple spiritual spaces at once, even granting permission for some of the dead to be revived. Morpheus has no memory of what his prior life was like because he was never truly born to begin with. The only evidence he has of anything close to a former life is the gaping, endlessly bleeding wound on his chest. He has no true show of emotions except for solemn empathy and remorse.
