A Sandsurge who got his name from his ability to run at extreme speeds. Sonic left his old home, the Reedcleft Ascent, when he was still a small hatchling, eager to pursue his dreams of adventuring far and wide. Now he is a strong dragon who has experienced a lot of exciting events all around Sornieth, and has even become somewhat famous thanks to his heroic deeds and awesome speed. He frequently visits the Clan of United Hearts' territory, but doesn't really "live" there, since he's always looking for new adventures in other lands.
Sonic is a benevolent dragon with a pure heart. A free spirit, never bound to anything specific. He loves excitement and always goes out of his way to find his next big journey. When he isn't out adventuring, he's very fun to chill out with, since he's pretty nice. His charismatic charm has earned him many friends. Overall, he's a very cool dude! However, he can get a little sarcastic and cocky sometimes. He's also very impatient and easily bored, constantly wanting something interesting to keep himself occupied.
Fun facts:
- Sonic seems to be able to use his wind magic to enhance his supernatural speed, using the wind to propel himself even faster.
- He has a fear of water, specifically deep bodies of it. Some dragons who learn of this assume that he may have once been a Ridgeback, but Sonic's been a Sandsurge since he hatched. He never learned how to swim and was never around deep water much when he was younger, so that's probably what caused his fear to develop. The Sea of a Thousand Currents is one of the few places he doesn't like to travel to very often.
- Aside from having unbelievable speed, Sonic has other interesting strengths. For one, he appears to be quite durable, able to take more hits than the average Sandsurge. He can also easily land safely after falling from great heights, similar to a cat.
