Ryder

Ryder washed up in the abiding boneyard a shivering hatchling cast aside in the turmoil. His green eyes betrayed his origins, although he was too young to remember more than a passing image of the breezy meadows he had been plucked out of. The Killjoy clan took him in, giving him scrolls to pattern his scales after the predatory snakes that hunted among the dunes.

With the damning yellow-green washed out of his body, and his wings darkened to slide in and out of shadows, Ryder settled into a place in the Hellwell Undercroft's sun-pierced and wind-washed upper levels. Now a denizen of the Sugar Plumb, Ryder is still searching for a role in the Killjoy clan, alternately checking logbooks, repairing wiring, and creating the magic charms that give their live shows so much life.
