Just like many Tsukinomori students, Mutsumi comes from a rich family. Their father is a famous comedian called Wakaba, while their mother is Mori Minami, an actress.
In middle school, Mutsumi was invited by Sakiko to join her band, leading to them becoming the guitarist of CRYCHIC. However, after Sakiko declared that the band will be breaking up, Mutsumi followed up and claimed that they never had fun while performing and hanging out with their bandmates.
A person of few words, Mutsumi is very stoic, someone who constantly has trouble expressing themself properly. While they generally mean well, their way of wording things can sometimes make them come off as rude or insensitive instead.

In the flightrising universe, Mutsumi is a quiet, often speechless earth fae who quietly collects and hoards green stones. In her free time they often break off and carve some of the rocks they find into random shapes. They don't mind which, they're not particular on how the end product looks. The quiet fae also tends to a cucumber garden not far out from their lair.

The doll who knows every death, even ones unseen
Mortis is but a silent doll, with no words left to speak. Their mouth taped shut too many times, wearing on their plastic, they speak no more. However, maybe their silence is louder than they think. After all, they are Mortis. It blends in perfectly with Mutsumi's regular life. As far as they know...
They have always been Mortis.
