Physicality:
Nicht was not a strong dragon. He was a good flyer however, swift and silent. He knew how to keep a low profile and blend in, easily avoiding the notice of those he was following, especially at night.

Personality:
Nicht was a sly, self serving individual. He was intelligent, careful but not nervous, and patient. His ultimate goal was self preservation, and the preservation of those he chose to consider equal in his heart to himself. He did not come off as a caring person, having waning to no concern for others in general. He was happy to use people for his own ends, though he wasn't the sort to be a master manipulator himself... rather, he sought to align himself with those more powerful than himself, and make himself useful enough to them to be protected from harm. He never wanted to get himself into a corner he couldn't wriggles out of, so felt safer being a follower than striking out on his own. So long as he wasn't at the very apex, he felt he had a chance to switch sides as the situation needed. He had no qualms about stabbing someone in the back, if that's what would work best for him. But he wasn't out to pick a fight if he didn't need to, he never wanted to take the risk. Taunting people as a misdirect was one thing, but he knew when he was beaten, and didn't want to tempt misfortune to come him way. If he didn't like things, he was willing to wait for a better chance.

History:
Nicht was a stray child who found shelter in the Droseran Domain in the Everbloom Gardens, content to go along with the bizarre ways of the place so as to be taken care of. He feigned faith for food, essentially. He had been desperate, alone and unable to survive on his own. He was willing to do anything, say anything, pretend to believe anything; just to have a full belly. He had been dangerously underweight and malnourished, and looked his looming death in the face. It terrified him. That set the tone for how he would live the rest of his life.
He volunteered to help Cerise with anything she wanted to make sure she would keep a place for him in the clan. She took him at his word for an eager new faithful, and gave him little jobs to do to assist her. He worked silently and diligently, and she approved of his manner.
He grew up in this role, becoming secure but always knowing that Cerise could choose to cast him off if he failed to appear loyal. The status quo served him, so that was what he strove to protect. He always did, keeping to himself and not socialising much so that he wouldn't loosen up and let something slip. He didn't have it in him to come to care about and have to prioritise other people, anyway.
Eventually Bellina came along though, and he couldn't help himself. She seemed a hateful creature, finding every dragon unpleasant and sneering at them incessantly. He was smitten. The two verbally sparred on and off for a bit before officially becoming mates.

Current Situation: Nicht has no particular feelings about what happened with Azurite. At Cerise's orders, he followed Azurite in secret to verify his claims, and found him out to be a liar... but it was his own fault for being so stupid. Things may be tense within the Droseran Domain, but Nicht remains confident nothing is getting in his way.

Character Interaction:

• Bellina: Bellina and Nicht were mates, and devoted to one another completely. They are both survivors, and prioritise themselves foremost; they found kinship with one another as a result, so extended that priority to one another. Having both come to the Droseran Domain young, they did not realise until Cerise informed them that they could not have a brood together, Bellina being of an ancient breed. This devastated the pair of them, but they were determined to have children together eventually, just using a surrogate.
  They were absolute confidantes. Bellina knew Nicht only stayed loyal to Cerise for his own sake, and didn't care about her faith. Nicht knew Bellina found Cerise distasteful, but was following much the same path. They were completely satisfied with one another, to the exclusion of all others. Bellina promised Nicht if someone killed him, she would eviscerate them and everyone they loved. Nicht, in turn, promised that if someone killed her, he wold join her. And yet, from the outside, it wasn't easy to conclude they were even together.
• Cerise: Nicht was Cerise's assistant. His duties often included taking care of business Cerise did not want to be witnessed doing herself, like spying on people, bringing people to see her, and arranging things to appear 'naturally' the way she wanted them to.
  He was loyal to her, since she was in power. He knew she was the person who had the most control in the clan, and sought to secure himself in comfort by staying loyal. He never wavered in this, as there was no real challenge to her authority. As such, she saw him as a truly loyal clan member, misidentifying him as a true believer, and considering his behaviour admirable through that light. He played up whatever she wanted to see, and did so well enough to convince her, so she never hesitated in keeping him in her confidence.
• Rianon: The pair had Velehn together. Rianon didn't think negatively of Nicht like many did. She considered him to have found his purpose in being a shadow for Cerise. While she might look down on someone who could only feebly help someone else accomplish their goals, the skill and subtlety with which Nicht did so many things for Cerise made Rianon more satisfied with him. He had few thoughts on her, really. She was fine, she was effective. They respected one another, but didn't spend a whole lot of time considering the other. Rianon was happy to have Velehn as her daughter, with Nicht being parent in absentia, so it was fine.
• Ediopha: Nicht was Ediopha's father. He loved her a great deal, and knew well that their bond existed irrespective of biological relatedness. At the time of her birth, he considered her his only real daughter. He taught her to fly, and sometimes they'd take off at night to stargaze together.

Extra:

• His favourite time of day was just after the sun had fully set.
• He was a light sleeper. White noise like crickets or something Bellina was brewing overnight gently burbling would help him relax and make it through the night.
