Biography
:: Generation 2 :: The Drifters ::
Starbound > Hope > Lunna
The first grandchildren of Starbound and Starseed fare a little better regardless if born away from the borders of the Fallen Stars clan or not, but not less affected, their power is always weaker in other lands then when in Arcane territories and only achieve it's full capacity if they find their way back to their family's homeland. The longing for a place they never knew/or never lived on is still just as strong as their parents and despite not becoming completely powerless if too far away from the Starfall Islands (regardless of their birth element), their eyes still get murkier the farther they go.
They too tend to use stones and other magical items to boost their magic and if possible mechanical or magical enhancements, for some reason avoiding malignant spells (like some of their parents and uncles seems to prefer).
LUNNA
Lunna found love in SeesBeyond when he passed through the town she was born, but the guardian felt a strange disturbance in the magic there and refused to stay, so she followed him out of love and in a desperate bid to stay together.
The longer they traveled the more ill she became, her magic weakening and her whole body feeling like huge festering wound, they had to stop in the Scarred Wastelands when she grew too weak and in one of the few friendly clans of the region they learned through their healer that her core seemed to carry a powerful binding spell, the farther she went from the place the curse was placed, the weaker she would became.
She was stunned and heartbroken because the only place she ever lived was her hometown and... and the only one powerful enough in there to cast something like that was her own grandfather.
SeesBeyond wouldn't go back tough and he wouldn't bring her back to her home even if she was weakened and getting worse as time went on, he was a proud individual from many a linage and carrying in his veins noble blood, it was one of the reasons she fell for him, but in death's door she wondered if following him and leaving everything and everyone she knew was the right choice.
The healers helped her the best she could, but there was little they could do besides mitigate some of the symptoms, one of the mages of the clan sold her a powerful amulet that boosted the user absorbing ambient magic and it was one of the things that she saw that truly helped, together with some bio enhancements that the pseudo-engineer of the clan gave for her in exchange of monthly reports about how it was functioning and more small technical details that would help him develop better new ones in the future.
SeesBeyond, despite not liking to stay in one place for long decided to make the clan something like his homebase and when Lunna was feeling too weak or ill to accompany him in his travels he would leave her there to rest and go, coming back a few weeks or sometimes months later to her.
She both loved that he at least never broke his promise to come back and would often send messages to her in his travels when she wasn't with him (normally places too far from the Starfall Isles) and hated that he would not stay with her when she was too weak to go, but couldn't find strength in herself to leave him and go back either, loving the guardian too much to actually go on and do it, no matter how much she sometimes would think about it.
At least, despite being in the Wastelands, the dragons of this clan she found herself were good, if not a bit scary, people and she found many friends between the weirdos that lived there with them.
