Biography

Damaris
Centurion

Damaris was born unto the world in a flash of mauve light, and when the light settled, all was quiet, dark, and still. Days later, she emerged from her shelter to the sound of the sea against the western edges of the Crystalspine reaches, where she wandered and wandered until she came across a small band of hunters who gladly took her in. Miso, the leader of the party, became somewhat of a mother to the young Nocturne, teaching her the foibles of magic and the art of history long past.

She learned what Miso had taught her with an amazing aptitude; it wasn't long before the student was on par with the teacher. Damaris had developed a kind and warm disposition, which often put her in a mediator's role. When the Squall changed for good, Euthymios recommended she be awarded a seat in the newly- formed Council. She accepted the seat graciously, but to this day still feels somewhat uncomfortable in the pivotal role she must play.

Every free chance she gets, the Nocturne travels to the place of her birth, and is content to watch the sun set over the purple- tinted waters for some time. Occasionally, she will return with a scavenged trinket or glowing stone retrieved from the rocky shores to give as a gift to a pupil or loved one. Damaris believes acts of kindness are pivotal to restoring the Squall to its former state, and continues to live by her beliefs as the days go by.
