A rusty old shop greets you further into the grotto, the atmosphere dreadful compared to the makeshift mansion you had previously toured. Has the sky grown darker as well? Perhaps it was only the day ending, not the harrowing sense of danger you feel as you approach the shop's entrance. The door swings open without a creak, only the small chime of a bell to attract the storeowner's attention. The inside was as dreary as the exterior: the walls were lined with shelves, holding books, puppets, masks, board games, and—most importantly—dolls. Tens if not hundreds of dolls were nestled into every shelf, every nook; they were of dragons, beasts, humans, animals. They were stitched together in a disordered fashion, and yet, they were elegant in their own, patched-up ways.

Your presence was soon noticed by the shopkeeper, who clears his throat to drive your attention away from the merchandise. He welcomes you with a charming smile, but his gaze is near deadly. No other dragon deep within the grove appeared as hostile as this one. He allows you to tour his wares, watching you closely as he speaks. His gaze studies your appearance, marking every detail in his head, all from the safety of his counter. You know how intently he was staring, but you pay no mind until he turns away. You watch from the corner of your eye as he pulls out a needle and thread, slipping into a room behind the counter.

Perhaps now is the time to leave, before the shopkeeper returns with a doll that mimics your likeness...
