Nox

"I just want daddy to be proud of me..."

Having rolled away from her nest as an egg, Nox was found and raised by a pair of abusive dragons. Her 'mother' was neglectful and emotionally abusive, and her 'father' either paid no attention to her -often getting distracted by fights and getting drunk- or shouted at and hurt her. He hated her, as did her adoptive mother, and neither took note of her accomplishments. She would try so hard to get their approval, especially that of her adoptive father, but he was never happy with what she did.

Not knowing that her true parents were out looking for her, Nox thought she was abandoned by all those who cared for her. When her adoptive mother died, Nox was finally able to escape from her abusive household. After a while of roaming the streets she found a guild of assassins and bounty hunters that she joined. The group accepted her as one of their own and became like family to her. Unfortunately, Nox's past abuse meant it was hard for her to initially trust others.

She occasionally flies into fits of rage when exposed to specific triggers and never remembers what she does during them. One day she'd accidentally killed one of her fellow guild members, but those around her were able to forgive her. Now, instead of taking her anger out on those around her, she takes it out on those she's hired to assassinate.

Eventually her guild gained her trust. Everyone Nox trusts as a friend she will defend with her life, especially her emotional support Slarg: Duckweed.

Nox's mental stability is fragile, and a few of her guild members suspect she may have Borderline Personality Disorder. She can be calm, calculated, and sly one moment and the next become like a wild beast, a prison warden, or a sadistic maniac. The majority of the time she has well control of her body and mind but, when confronted with specific triggers, will snap. She likes to make bargains and play games. She has a great mind for strategy and often gets upset about when she snaps and breaks her plans.
