Val's second clutch was much more successful. Xiral and her brother were strong, loyal, and didn't ask ridiculous questions.
Xiral always felt the need to prove herself to her father. And Val's acknowledgement and support of his daughter bolstered her confidence. Physically brawny but not lacking in brains, Xiral is Val's perfect child. She can be quite sadistic at times and will occasionally offer input on her father's work. She's never very far from him, and can act as a guard if the need arises. She cares deeply for her siblings, related by blood or otherwise.
