Aegaeon

Aegaeon, or AJ as many call him, was born of the water on a cold winter day many years ago. The clan awoke that morning to find an egg sitting at the mouth of the cave on Christmas morning. As they looked at it, it began to rock and shake. The first crack appeared and immediately liquid started to leak out. As more cracks appeared the dripping turned into a flood which pooled across the cave floor. Upon closer inspection they realized it was seawater! Soon, a tiny dragon head emerged from the egg, followed by two little paws and two large wings. The clan had never seen a hatchling quite like him before. They soon learned that on that night many of these strange new dragons had been delivered to clans around the realm.

The clan took AJ in and raised him to be a strong and courageous dragon. In fact he was so courageous that he began following Astrea out on her voyages deep into beastclan territory. Although he was never quite as strong as she was, they made a good team, and they brought many treasures and valuable supplies back to the clan.

Now many of AJ's days are filled by training new dragons out in beastclan territory, preparing them to go and serve the Icewarden. He takes great pride and joy in his work. The ocean indeed chose a powerful son that day, and he has worked hard to find success.
