Crevander is a wanderer. Less a permanent member of the Clan than an intermittent guest, he visits for weeks and then disappears for far longer, returning eventually with strange tales of faraway lands. His tips lead the Clan to new hunting grounds and nesting sites, new caverns to excavate or dungeons to explore. Some of these locations are as near as the next valley over yet are entirely undiscovered… as if the earth reknit itself into a new form upon Crevander's arrival, or otherwise only chose to reveal itself in his presence.

Crevander speaks to the stones themselves to guide his way, choosing his path based on both the planet’s magnetic field and some ancient language concealed in the rock and earth. But he doesn’t just wander: he builds. He hacks down branches and subducts stones to make trails, builds cairns and markers to guide travelers, and bores tunnels through mountains and cliffs. Though he always chooses the path less traveled, the road he leaves behind him is usually wide, pleasant, and wheelchair-accessible.

Just as Crevander is only an occasional guest of the Clan, Traveler is only rarely seen by her dragon’s side. When he travels during the day, she is usually asleep in his pack; when he rests at night, she flies off to explore on her own, sometimes only returning after Crevander tracks her down. Because Crevander cannot (or will not) fly, Traveler’s owl’s-eye perspective is often critical in discovering places not visible by foot. He will often awaken to find Traveler staring at him pointedly, insisting that he follow her to some new adventure.

Crevander prefers to fashion a makeshift den out of the earth around him rather than establish a permanent home. When a cave doesn’t mysteriously manifest for him or a grotto doesn’t shape itself from a forest upon his arrival, he’ll coax the stone around him into a simple lean-to.
