Biography

Clan Zoologist and Familiar Caretaker

Pylora was the first daughter born to Talonsweep and Wyv, and was raised in the Lesser Lair her entire life. Pylora's role in the clan has been unusual, even since her childhood. Pylora was originally meant to be trained and sent to the Stormcatcher, to help him advance his work and the power of the Lightning flight. In fact, her siblings Nightspark and Riversong did just that. Pylora, however, was different.

While her siblings studied engineering and math, Pylora took an interest in biology and sociology. It soon became apparent that Pylora's role would lay somewhere other than internship. Her interests became clear when Talonsweep brought a pair of dryads back to the clan. Pylora delighted in bonding with the familiars, and began to do all she could to learn about them. Studying in earnest, Pylora became the clan's resident expert on familiar biology and psychology, and began outfitting the Lesser Lair with the veterinary equipment needed to become a proper familiar physician.

Now, Pylora spends most of her time either in her clinic, caring for the injured familiars, or spending time with them in the underground microhabitats that she has constructed. Every new familiar is a new friend, and the recent influx of rare and exotic familiars has her excited, though she worries about the current lair's occupation capacity. After all, maintaining the microclimate for a squall rasa is easy- it's the mantarune that has her running ragged.
