Story

Myra never knew her uncle, he'd died before she was hatched, but her father had always told her and her siblings what Pyrrhus had done for him, noting the runes on his body that all three of his children shared. Sometime after she was old enough to read, Myra stumbled across her uncle Pyrrhus's old research notes and tools, left behind in hopes of curing her grandparents from their blood craze like he'd done his younger brother, her father.

She had met them once, many moons before finding the notes, or officially met one of them at least. It was during one of the rare instances the Gaunt had been lucid from his blood craze. Her father had taken her and her siblings to meet their grandfather. He'd seemed a kind old veilspun, proud of his son and grandchildren, but also resigned to his fate.

Myra made up her mind after finding those notes. She would finish the work her uncle had left behind. She'd complete the work he'd been cut short on in honor of him, as well as all neomenia sanguines. Her work was fervent, and crazed at times, and eventually, the secondary drive to garner her parents attention away from her sister was replaced by the sole promise of completing hers and her Uncle's work.

Her studies eventually led her to leave Zephyrus, stealing away in the middle of the night with only her research for company, and a note left behind for her parents. no time for goodbyes when there was work to be done...
