Biography

vdorvFB.gif

Thal, once a spritely and mischievous Shadow hatchling, has lived a long life for a dragon--generations of promises and memories weigh on his shoulders. One night he simply lay down in an uncontested forest, curled in the roots of a tree even older than him, and allowed the world to move on without him...

But the world had other plans. Thal awoke to a curious deer-like beast nosing him curiously with its gnarled snout. Getting his bearings, he found himself overgrown with moss, and quickly realized that the Wood Ear Deer was attempting to nibble at his new mossy passenger. He laughed, voice rough with countless decades of disuse, and found that perhaps he wasn't yet done with the wonders of the world.

With his new companion, Thal trekked out of the woods and into a world of division and invention that he could not understand. He kept to the outskirts, avoiding larger clans, and was mostly passed over as a strange and wild old man. There seemed to be no one he remembered still around in this new world, and even the Shadow flight had changed.

So he and his deer kept moving. On their journey, they met Eden--not quite as old as Thal, but a tired old woman looking for a place to rest, just like him. So they walked together, trading stories, out past the primary territories, out to an island of flat, banded rock and rolling fog, of sweet grasses sprouting between the rock sheets, of heavy clouds and gentle rain.

The island consists of several long, flat pieces of banded grey stone that keep it just above the sea. It is constantly covered by a blanked of fog that makes it very hard to find, and often rains.
A small pine forest, as well as freshwater streams and sweet grass between pieces of stone, make up the island's biome.

And there they stay, removed from Sornieth, free from the pressure and divisions of the Deities, free to walk and hunt, to sing and craft, to laugh and remember, until the end of time.
