Being the son of an alchemist and a innkeeper had it's ups and downs. Yuuma was exposed to all sorts of dragons and experiments from a young age, giving him a sense of cautious adventure. Though he was unsure about whether he could make it out in the wider world, he dreamt about what it'd be like to explore all of Sornieth. His mother encouraged these dreams, but assured him that he could leave on his own time.

For a while, he helped run the inn alongside his mother and uncle. As he grew older, he became the de facto de-escalator of dangerous situations, stopping all kinds of conflicts between prickly travelers and unhappy city-dwellers alike. At some point, he realized that he was no longer afraid of facing that conflict. In fact, he felt pretty self-assured. Knowing that his time had come, he bid his family farewell and took off into the sky, nothing left to hold him back.
