Biography
LYRA
Harpist | Inquisitive | Empathetic | Sincere | Naive
LORE
When Lyra found her way to the clan, Excursio had more of an idea what to expect from the young dragon due to her partner's relationship with Jareth. Eager to integrate another of the new species into the clan, she immediately began looking for a dragon pair to adopt Lyra. Ultimately, it was Riftstalker and Gwenfair who came forward - Riftstalker to recruit the young hatchling into his secret network of spies, and Gwenfair to make sure that Lyra was sheltered from her mate's self-centered interests. In a last-ditch effort to help the young Nocturne, Gwenfair did the unthinkable - she gave Lyra her pearl to hold, in the process sharing the very essence of herself.
Lyra's upbringing had an enormous impact on her personality. She retained the shy nature she had from birth, but became a great deal more compassionate as a result of Gwenfair's nurturing. Like her adoptive mother, Lyra is a natural peacekeeper and does her best to see the good in everyone. She believes strongly in the significance of memories, and demanded to learn writing so that she could keep a record of her experiences. The walls of her lair are lined with shelves holding books, journals, and curios that remind Lyra of the most important events and dragons in her life. She enjoys sharing stories and will converse enthusiastically with anyone who shows interest in her collection of found objects. Lyra enjoys music and can play the harp and the pipeflute; she also has a surprisingly good singing voice.
