Bailasanth, (called Bail by those closest as a form of endearment) was one of the many hatchlings lost by their parents during the greatest recorded solstice activity by his breed in history. Many of the dragons had thought that Nocturnes were simply a legend until the day that Bail's mother arrived in the Glademother's lands, heavy with eggs. The dragons of the clan saw her come crashing through the foliage of the Gladeveins, but when they went to investigate through their territory, all they found was a lone, solitary egg. Unwilling to become nest robbers, they waited as long as they could before bringing the egg in- and anxiously tended the egg- unsure if the hatchling within would survive the abandonment.

But the Glademother had great plans in store for him, and in a sudden gale storm, Aelleath- an adult female Nocturne arrived, offering to help the clan with the abandoned eggs. So on a cold winter's day- under the watchful eye of his adoptive nestmother- Bailasanth made his debut into the world- a stunning little blue hatchling who quickly stole the hearts of the entire clan. He even boasted the Glademother's green eyes- making it even easier for the clan to approve of the unexpected hatchling
