There are many sayings about summer. A summer rain, they say, gentles the heart and cleanses the mind. A summer love, they say, is passionate and heartwrenching; warmth for warmth. A summer night, they say, is peaceful and quiet, with none but insects as company, and when the world falls still, it is like you're the only one there. And while you sit there, looking onto the quiet world, sometimes She will sit beside you in contentment, lending you Her light.
So take pleasure in the amber warmth. Enjoy its soft embrace, like a yellow cocoon. Delight in the flaming tones of its sunsets, the soft crickets of insects. Until it is Her time to leave, She will be here, blanketing the world with her gold.
