do you fear the past?

fragile and perceived differently, even though in an
idealized state, has a true form that is ugly. if it is to
return again, something has gone horribly wrong.

the past is also fixated on the future.

Long ago, before hyrule was born, the golden goddess, hylia, breathed life into the world that would soon take her name.

she had first created her peers, her sisters, to help her form the land of hyrule and its inhabitants that were to live within it. on her own, hylia created the first hylians. din helped to created the earth below their feet, and their peers, the gerudo. farore sowed the seeds that were to become the forests and fauna that they were to live within and alongside. and nayru allowed for the flowing of oceans and water that they all were to drink.

with this, hylia was happy, for a time, with her creations and her fellow sisters for their work. however, soon, she felt something was missing. a prophecy had come to her and her sisters, one of horror and strife for their creations and everything they held so dear. these visions, frightened them all; hylia the most. so, with this, she took a piece of herself and created the triforce.

the triforce, being nearly as powerful as she, was an engine of great power. known to give one the strength of 10,000 dragons, its intent was to have three wielders, much like her own sisters who lived beside her. one of fearless courage, one of the most righteous wisdom, and one of ultimate power. these three wielders of the triforce were to keep hyrule safe, and protect every mortal who lived within it safe.
this of course, was not what had happened. another god amongst the sisters soon, was shuen. shuen was a being created from the misdeeds and greed that had become of the hylians, combined with din's secret inner jealousy of her greater and older sister.

he had become powerful, so powerful, over time, he had gained followers, all underneath hylias gaze where she did not see. shuen learned of the triforce, and over time, his anger for hylia grew. he wanted it for himself, so he could finally overpower hylia and put her in her place, below din, where he knew she belonged.

soon enough, shuen had made his way out to find the triforce and take it for himself, his pride overflowing. however, when he had found it, his veil of cover was almost immediately blown; as hylia had found him and tried to stop him. but shuen now, was a powerful being, growing so strong after gaining many followers and his mother din's jealousy growing more and more every passing dawn. because of this, he had accidentally shattered the triforce as hylia tried to take it from his grasp the same moment he had tried to acquire it.
thus, the triforce had shattered into three and scattered along the lands, to places even hylia could not see. for this, she banished him far away and sealed him away in a solid stone statue prison, declaring him "demise", fearing he was the one the visions from millennia ago spoke of.
this prison however unfortunately did not last, and as the misdeeds of mortalkind grew, his prison began to chip away and crack as he grew more powerful with every battle that began to brew; the mortal races of hyrule soon waging wars to try and acquire and find said pieces of the legendary triforce, the stories passed down for centuries.

eventually, his statue prison was broken away enough for him to be conversed with. his followers had found him again, trying everything they could to free him, but to no avail.
one of these followers, a gerudo by the name of ganondorf, began to treat him like a god higher than hylia, after hearing his stories of revenge and pillage. his rage flowing for the fallen demi-god, ganondorf had sworn to demise he would find the pieces of the triforce and bring them all to him, so he could get revenge on hylia for what she had done, and so he could get his rightful place alongside din as the greater god hylia could never be. demise liked this promise, and bestowed upon ganondorf his last remaining power to stay hidden underneath the gaze of the goddesses. with
this power, ganondorf left and went off to find the three triforce pieces.

however, while ganondorf was searching the land, another being was created through the grief and horrors that filled the aftermath of all the battles and wars that plagued the land. its name was kahsuto, and was known to be the second coming of the bringer of suffering under din as her son.

kahsuto however, unlike his much more disastrous brother, felt shame in his existence. no one liked his presence or gifts he often tried to give. no one worshiped him like they did zephos, son of nayru and demi-god of the winds. filled with a unforgiving sadness, he wandered the land, in search of a place he could stay and wallow in his own sadness.
this however, led him to discover, undeniably, a piece of the triforce, hidden away where no soul had been able to find it for, even the goddesses not know how long. thinking this would possibly be the greatest gift he could give to mortalkind and all its races, he took the piece and brought it back to civilization with him, quickly being met with ganondorf as he returned. ganondorf had begun to try and lie to kahsuto, convincing him and telling him how he was one of the prophecized wielders of the triforce pieces. knowing ganondorf was a gerudo, with great stature and strength to himself, kahsuto unknowingly believed ganondorf, and gave the piece to him, thinking he truly was a wielder, one of unique and ultimate power.

and with the first piece of the triforce in hand, ganondorf took advantage of his newfound power, and almost immediately proceeded to try and murder kahsuto, thinking he could do so. instead, kahsuto was promptly turned into a offhandedly larger than expected lizard. knowing he failed to eliminate kahsuto, ganondorf fled with the triforce piece and went off to find the second one.

kahsuto, now smaller and defenseless, fled as well, and in his shock and recovery within the nearest forest he could find, he recalled a legend his mother had told him as she paced about her horrors of knowing her inner feelings created the horrible beast of prophecy like demise. the story of why the triforce was created, and its wielders is what he recalled. with this recollection, he went off to find the rightful wielders, to stop ganondorf in his pursuit and seal his lord away for good.
