Harmony

Harmony was, and had always been, a distant dragon, and you can see as much in her eyes - deep, brown eyes that seems to contain sadness, betrayal, secrets... secrets pushed down, deep, far below the surface that she locked away in an iron cage of determination...

She did not know where she came from, and nor did anyone else. The first few months she arrived, emerging, cocooned within a fallen star, no one knew who she was, or why she was here. She was wrapped in light, gold mist, with a large, strange rock trailing her everywhere she goes. She did not speak their language, but instead a tongue that seemed distant, ancient, but strangely familiar, like cupped water, slipping just out of reach. The first few months, Harmony would just stare, sit underneath the shade of a tree, or on a tall boulder, and stare - at the hatchlings roughly playing, kicking up dirt and small pebbles, at the elders, bathing in the sunshine and reading scrolls, and at the hollering vendors and merchants in the town square...
Over the course of several months, Harmony has been quietly learning the language of Sornieth, as the dragons around her spoke, and as she caught glimpses of words written and carved into signs, printed on books, drawn by hatchlings using long branches in the dirt. She learned, and she remembered. But she never spoke...
The night before she left, she slipped a written note underneath Scroll's door - "Not all that is gold glitters. Beware. My name... is Harmony."
