You’ll find a decent job, they said.

Well, they said wrong. Victor came fresh outta college and right into burger-flipping, and then the burgers came for him— like, as in, Gil (that’s his boss, former boss, whatever) tried to put him on the menu, and he sure wasn’t keen on that.

The point is! The point is. Victor hightailed it out of Nexus City and in to survival on the streets, and—

And— it wasn’t that bad, actually. Isn’t that bad. But then again, that’s what everyone in Nevada’s doing these days, so he’s in good company. And a literal company. He’s got a job again, kind of. Not really a normal job, probably not a good job, but hey! He’s not unemployed! And his employers (employer? That Kyle guy wasn’t great at explaining, but then again, that guy hired him over their employees’ radio) aren’t trying to kill him.

So, uh… the moral of the story— Victor has no idea if there’s a moral to the story. He hopes there isn’t. Having a big important story is never a good thing, unless you value some legends over your life.

Which he doesn’t.
