Biography
Adair sought beauty.
Of course, nothing could be as beautiful as he was. Only his mate, Askela, came close. Her own quest had led Adair to their new clan in the Sunbeam Ruins. Though he had been born in the Lightning region, his mother had taken him back to the Tangled Wood as a hatchling, and he had quickly grown tired of its monotonous mist and melancholy mushrooms. He needed color. He needed his scales to really glitter to their full potential. His swarm hadn't been too fond of him either; all his preening and perfumes threw off the harmony of their great synchronized flights.
But he had the sun now, and he could bask in it all he liked. Askela, on the other claw, thought the stars were the most beautiful sight in Sornieth, and while Adair respectfully disagreed, he had to admit they had a certain charm. However, the stars didn't hold a candle to Askela’s expression when she saw them. Now that took Adair's breath away.
How odd... Adair had come so far, yet he realized now that the greatest beauty in the world had been with him all along: in his mirror.
And in Askela. Her, too.
