Biography
Stolen from her parents as a hatchling and raised by a plague cult which obsessed over a "survival of the fittest" philosophy to an unhealthy degree. Clutches of hatchlings were edged on until they started attacking each other, and only the winner of that fight was allowed to grow up.
Canopy has many issues from her twisted childhood, one of them being an insatiable bloodlust and a loss of control during battle. When she first escaped the cult, she tried to repress that side of her, with fatal consequences for her new clan. After that, she traveled around, never staying long with any one clan out of fear of hurting them. It wasn't until her current clan of Darkfrost was attacked by beastclan that she found a safe outlet for her aggressions.
Rye was raised by the same cult as Canopy, and originally he was sent by them to retrieve her. However, he was defeated by Canopy's and Chalbi's combined powers, and on the former's request, he was given the choice of returning to his cult empty-clawed, or staying at the Darkfrost clan and helping to defend it. Not keen on being punished, he opted to stay, eventually settling in quite nicely and even taking on a new name.
Years later, Sirel left the clan to find his own way in life, only to return home with a friend from his self-proclaimed "angsty teen runaway phase". Merlot, however, insisted on working out a peace treaty with the local beastclan, offering to work as an ambassador. While somewhat controversial at the time, it ended up being a good thing for the clan as a whole. For Canopy it meant that she needed to find other outlets though, and so she became the clan's most efficient hunter.
