What a perfect son. Everything parents could want for an heir to their name. But Vesperion always longed to be free of the strings his father controlled him with. But he remained obedient. Even when it came to marrying a dragoness who did not love him in the same way he loved her. All for the sake of his family name. Obedience above all. Even if it killed him inside to be cold to the woman he loved.

Time passed and eventually her heart opened to him and he could show her the dragon behind the mask he was forced to wear. A bond between Astrea and Vesper had formed and finally he felt like happiness could be possible. But then she was gone. Disappeared into thin air, leaving him hurt and broken hearted. But soon he found out that she'd traded her corporeal form to protect another man and his heart broke all over again. Vesper was angry and hurt, but couldn't deny his own heart anymore.

Maybe she could love him in a different world, free from expectations and parental control. So he left his life behind to follow her, praying those secret feelings could grow now that they were truly free from control. Thankfully, their reunion was a sweet one, him now free to love her wholly and her realizing that she loved him the same.
