PART 1 OF 3


Two dragons were sent on a grand quest by the clan leaders, ordered to search the Southern Icefield for a legendary artifact.

Diamond was one of those dragons, and he just wanted to make his clan leader proud. So he left with Kir, a Fae dragon, to fulfill his clan leader’s wishes. But Diamond did not like his traveling partner- Kir was far too annoying and was always asking something out of him, and he dreaded being alone with him in an isolated part of the Southern Icefield for a long time.

So far, the expedition had gone miserably. They had been out there for WEEKS, but the artifact they were sent to search for was nowhere to be found! He was so lonely- he had not seen any other dragons but Kir for the last week and a half (and you know how Diamond felt about Kir). In addition, the weather was growing more and more cold ... .even an ice-flight dragon like Diamond was starting to feel miserable in the ever-present cold, which only seemed to grow stronger by the day.

It was growing dark, and though he was as energetic and ready to explore as ever..he was interrupted by Kir whispering to him.

“Hey, I’m kinda tired, can we please take a break? We’ve been out here for ages!”

Even though he wanted to journey more, Diamond and Kir stopped to set up camp so the tiny Fae dragon could sleep. The Cloudscape Crags towered above the duo. As he set up the tents they would be sleeping in, Diamond looked in awe at the grand mountain. It didn’t matter that it was not part of the plans to go there - after he finished setting up the camp, he would climb up there while Kir was sleeping.

Once he was done, he began to climb as fast as he could. As he ascended higher and higher, he grew tired- much like Kir had. So he sadly had to return. As he climbed back to camp, he found a shiny necklace buried in the snow. In awe of its beauty and remarkable shininess, he took it with him.

When he reached the ground, he looked in horror at something he would have never expected to see. Kir was sleeping in HIS tent! He was so tired, but he didn’t want to disturb the tiny fae- but he was FAR too large to use Kir’s tent! The poor Gaoler wound up sleeping out in the cold, and it was so cold he hardly got any rest.

As Diamond and Kir packed up camp and left, he heard more whispers in his ear. Ah, what does Kir want this time..

As it turned out, his teammate had spotted two other dragons lying on an ice cliff above him- a black, white, and red Auraboa, and a pure white Pearlcatcher. Finally, some company… and an excuse to get away from Kir! He excitedly hurried up to the Ice cliff….only to realize the ice cliffs couldn’t hold the weight of all three of the dragons. The cliff fell, and he hurtled through the air with the other two dragons as he fell…but they didn't stop when they hit the ground. They fell through the ice, until they landed underground....
