PERSONALITY
Moloch is a gruff, serious, intimidating sort. The kind of dragon who can say a hundred things with a single well-placed glare. Governing a village is hard work, especially with rumors of a rebellion stirring up, and he's not interested in anything that won't put gold on the table or fuel in the furnaces.
Lately, though... something seems to be off about him. He's grown fearful, paranoid, spending less time out in public and always looking over his shoulder. Word on the street is that he's cracking under the pressure of his job or the stress of combating the rebels, but that's just speculation. Still, he maintains an iron grip on Cinderslag, keeping the town in a state of ever-productive harmony. He's as respected by its denizens as he is feared. |

HISTORY
Years ago, Moloch was the head of the now-infamous Blackstone Industries: a massive complex located just west of Cinderslag, with mines, factories, and processing plants all working as one self-contained production line. It was one of the most prolific businesses in the Ashfall Waste, employing hundreds of dragons and supplying all of Sornieth with tools and weapons.
Until one day, without warning, it was all shut down. Workers were hurriedly evacuated, machines were pulled out mid-excavation, and the whole site was cordoned off from the public. In a matter of hours, it had gone from a center of activity to a ghost town. Moloch gave a half-hearted statement on the matter, telling the press that their drilling had uncovered a pocket of deadly magic radiation that forced him to abandon the project. But the truth of what happened that day - what he saw that day - will follow him to his grave. Some things are better left buried. |
