She was supposed to be a bright student, a loving daughter, a loyal citizen and "responsible Animus"*...
She was supposed to be a lot of things.
Knives was born unto power, her glowing pink eyes a sign of her Arcanist heritage. From a young age, Knives displayed her affinity for swordsmanship and combat proudly- much to the dismay of her strict Arcanist father.
When Knives discovers her mother, cast out of the Arcane clan for her use of shadow magick, has been locked away in a desolate prison for heretics and witches... she must do everything in her power to free her.
The question is, should she?
Memories of her mother are clouded in mysterious visions and signs from the elders warning her that Arring's power was slowly destroying her from the inside out.
"That same power which I now carry in my claws... The power to fell nations."
Though she now lives on the run and often finds herself at the business-end of a mercenary dragon's blade, Knives maintains a strong code of ethics and believes that one day, by rescuing her mother and sharing the power of shadow magick and medicine with her tribe, she will be reunited with her father and receive the highest honor (in her opinion) a dragon can bestow: knighthood.
