Biography
Leader of the Forge Dragons
Tamahagane (玉鋼) is a high quality metal (steel) made in the Japanese tradition. The word tama means "round and precious", like a gem. The word hagane means "steel". Tamahagane is used to make Japanese swords, knives, and other kinds of tools.

Forge dragons
The Forge Dragons are a special group, one exhibiting a rare tolerance to the fires of the Flamecaller. They may come from any flight, but are drawn by irresistible forces to the heat, the din and clamor of the forge.
The metals they work change them, becoming one with their bodies and giving them insight into the essence of the materials and a unique ability to know what each crucible of molten ore will become.
Forge Masters
Some are chosen by the Flamecaller to work the most valuable ores, the ones destined to surround the Flamecaller in her lair. They have an incandescent glow, shining bright with a golden light while their bodies glow red, holding the heat that allows them to work the metals far longer than other dragons. The wings of a Forge Master change, becoming steel to protect the dragon from the dangers of the forge.
Forge Adepts
Many are called to the forges but not all are chosen to be Masters. These dragons all exhibit the same symbiosis with the forge though in different degrees.
Their colors may not be that of a master but they are crucial to the forge. They serve by feeding the forge, polishing the metals, turning a blade into a weapon or twisted filigree onto art. These are the artisans, the journeyman, the mavericks and the innovators. The dragons who aspire to show the world that flame creates beauty as well as purifies the world.
Sometimes these dragons are sent out to the Flamecaller's realm to assist in the forges of other lairs, to share the Flamecaller's skill and beauty with all.
