Sabnach is a power-hungry, ambitious dragon. A creature concerned first and foremost with power--and power is generally accompanied by wealth. It is a wonder why (more-or-less) wholesome and good dragons would serve under him so willingly...until you hear one of his speeches. The King is not lacking in his charisma nor verbal manipulation skills. He was well-respected until Araku and Viperine invaded the Clan from the inside, shaking up ties and causing followers to question loyalty and The King's judgement.
Sabnach has strong conviction in the importance of growth & power for the Nocturne breed as a whole. As such, he will never turn his nose up at an abandoned or lost egg. Quite the contrary, he seeks them out and organizes frequent "search parties". He is quicker to quiet his constant stream of paranoia fueled thoughts in the company of fellow Nocturnes--particularly ones with young minds to be molded by him at his own discretion. A Fire Sprite accompanies the Plague King, acting as his eyes and ears.
Lore
Beginnings
A voracious young dragon spilling over with passion and a longing for a better life from the very start, Sabnach was raised among a clan that did not take kindly to Nocturnes. The smaller, bat-like dragons were primarily used as slave farmers, tending to stock animals and quickly beaten down if they dared to complain or step out of line.
He had been spotted at the Auction House--a central hub rampant with slave trade and exotic wares being pawned off by dragons from far and wide--merely a hatching yet dressed in chains with an already hardened look in his Plague eyes. His captors had raided his nest while crossing through the Wyrmwound, slaughtering his parents and devouring the unhatched eggs containing his unborn kin. His buyer's noted the hatchling's unusual resilience and paid a handsome price for him, but little did they realize it would spell out the end for their clan...
