Ferric, Deputy and Hunter of the Night Flight

Ferric was born in the Water Territory from the egg that was given to Gildas by the messenger of the Tidebringer. He is a small and proud little fellow who feels the need to prove himself despite no one else needing him to. While Gildas did raise him from an egg, Ferric sees the Coatl as more of a mentor than a father figure. Ferric was, in fact, Gildas's first Apprentice. Together, they trained vigorously, learning more and more about themselves and each other.

As Ferric grew, the young dragon became more and more self-assured and comfortable with his abilities. Gildas saw this growth in his Apprentice, and, when the time was right, Gildas did what any Mentor would. Ferric was elevated from Apprentice to Warrior. Later on, when the Night Flight began to fill out, Ferric took on the role of a Hunter.

Ferric grew big and strong with the growth of the clan. The newer members began to see him as a leader as well. Gildas saw the natural leader within his friend and, when he felt he was old enough, named him Night Flight's Deputy. Ferric took this new responsibility well, but at times took on more than he could handle. His pride made it very difficult for him to ask for help, and not doing so has resulted in large failures and even the death of a clan mate. Afterward, Ferric's lack of confidence forced him to resign his position, but Gildas was not having that. Together, the two go on a small side-quest to rediscover the Hunter's pride.
