In the Dogwood Meadow stands a hulking oak tree known as the Fairy Tree, it's centuries old with a trunk that's scarred and contorted. A small wooden hut is constructed into the nook of one of the deep gashes in the bark, moss adorns the stone tiled roof and vines hang down from the branches above to give a thin veil of cover. It's a quaint little home, with conifer cones nestled in dried flowers and leaves draped around the front porch. Paper lanterns and a crudely crafted wind chime sway in the light breeze that meanders through the thick leaves. Thick roots burst from the ground at the base of the tree and hundreds of wildflowers circle the tree, dancing in the thick grass and some even climbing and growing in the cracked bark that runs up the tree. This is the home to a very special family of woodland Dusthides and their friendly felines.
The Dogwood Meadow is home to Rowan and Clover, a pair of woodland dusthide dragons that seek to offer protection to the ancient oak tree and all of the creatures that share their home. Both dragons grew up in Brooke Blossom Woods, the woodland that surrounds the meadow, and practice the deep heritage found there. They see other animals as their own kin and look after the forest and all it has to offer. They are particularly fond of the felines that climb up and perch on the balcony, basking in the sunlight that pokes through the leafy canopy above. In the spring a small group of sphinxes migrate through the meadow and spend the season nesting in the high canopies, their blossoming fur spreads seeds from flowers throughout the tree that bloom into a spectacular visage at the start of Summer. It's a beautiful yet sad sight as it usually marks the time that the Sphinxes move on with their journey and don't return until the next spring.

358.png The autumn sees Dryads emerge from deep within the trunk of the old tree, perhaps stirred by the warmth of the summer's sun, they tend to the needs of the tree; repairing any damage from the year and cleaning out their homes and often you will find a variety of wild forage growing from the organic piles left behind by the Dryads. They return and hide in the tree during winter and spring and choose to hibernate through the summer when water is less resrouceful. They have a special relationship with Rowan and Clover but are incredibly shy and hide away from others.
