______ Quint used to be a scout. fighting all kinds of beasts. But one day when he was wandering through the forest on the outside of the Plaguebringer's domain.. he was attacked by a mysterious creature.

Quint woke up in a small clan inside the domain of the Shadowbinder with a long maroon bandage covering his tail and face, He couldn't stop thinking about the creature that attacked him, and who was out there that saved his life.

Barely conscious, he looked over and saw a Skydancer taking care of other injured dragons, speaking softly and sweetly toward them. He didn't quite understand her, but he knew he was safe there.

He also saw a Pearlcatcher assisting her, He didn't understand him either, although he seemed a bit distant from reality.

He fell unconscious seconds later...

He began to have a nightmare about his attack, reliving the moment that brought him to this state. But only minutes later he awoke in a cold sweat. He noticed that there was a dragon sitting across from him. The dragon spoke to him in a tough, yet concerned voice. "Hey Greenwings, you okay?" He couldn't really speak, but he managed to mutter a short sentence "i think so.." Suddenly the dragon smiled, and said "That's what i was waiting to hear! I was worried i hadn't gotten to ya in time." With this. Quint knew just who saved him now.

The dragon across from him stood up in his field of view and said "Names Scar by the way. I hope you recover from your injuries soon Greenwings, See ya."

About a couple days later....

Quint slowly opens his eyes to see the doctor standing over him, muttering "This isn't good.." Concerned. He muttered quietly, "what's wrong..." The doctor quickly gazed at him in shock, as she was unaware he heard. Then she spoke softly "Well... your tail.. the nerve is shattered.." He knew what she was going to say, that his tail was never going to heal, and he wouldn't be able to return to battling.

He softly smiled at the doctor and said "It's alright.. you don't have to finish." The doctor spoke back "Do you understand what i was about to say?" she said with a concerned tone. "Yeah i do.. Its okay." Quint said contently. The doctor softly smiled at him back, and with a slightly relieved tone, said "Alright.."

The doctor began to leave the room, but he quickly stopped her, "Wait!" Quint said. The doctor turned around. "Yeah?" she asked. "I'm.. um.. homeless..." he stated with a slightly shaky voice. "Well. Scar told me that you wouldn't have to worry about that." the doctor stated.

"Anything else you wish to ask me?" The doctor said. "Oh.. well. not really. thank you for helping me." said Quint. The doctor smiled and said before leaving "Scar was the one who really saved you, i just tended to your wounds."

After a few minutes, Quint was cleared to leave.

He walked out of the medical den to see Scar waiting for him. "Hey! Greenwings! Wanna come stay at my den in the clan?" Quint replied "Really? That's so kind of you!" Scar smiled gently "Its no problem Greenwings. By the way, What is your name?".

"My names Quint. Thank you so much for saving my life out there and letting me stay with you." he stated. "Dont mention it Quint!. Now. lets go!" Scar said before she ran off into a sprint. "Wait!!" said Quint. Scar stopped in her tracks, "Oh yeah sorry. I forgot you just got out of the hospital! Don't worry, Il come carry you on my back." Scar swiftly runs back toward Quint and throws him on her back. "Wow you are very strong!" said Quint. Scar, fully sprinting toward her den, states "Ha, well. It come from my training."

"Training? Were you a scout like me?" says Quint. "Nah, i was second in command of a army, but i left all that behind long ago" Scar says with slight distain, yet mostly confidence. "Wow. that must had been difficult." said Quint. "Yeah it was.. One day i got hit by an arrow in my leg. and was left behind by my team with no second thought, they didn’t even look back at me. That, is when i left them forever." said Scar. Quint replied with shock "They really left you? Man. they didn't deserve to have you on their side."

"I realize that now. I decided after that i just wanted to have a nice life relaxing in my own home, away from them." said Scar with a troubled tone. "Enough of that. Lets get home." she said. "Yeah." said Quint in a soft, yet angry voice.

They ended up becoming roommates and the very best of friends. Quint became a academic scholar, learning all there is to know about Sornieth. and Scar, she is a combat teacher who teaches warriors how to be truly skilled and noble.

Both of them got what they desired, love and friendship.
