Rochelle

As a hatchling Rochelle was sent to a plague clan to act as a diplomat and representative for her flight. She was chosen since her father came from the Plague and so her former clan thought she would have it in her to live in such a barren and sick land.

Even under the wings of Viper, Rochelle felt lonely as few others from the clan came from the Shattering Plain. Most of the friends she had soon grew up and went to serve the Plaguebringer, or they were sold to some other clan.

When Rochelle was only a few days old, a small wind dragon approached her with some scrolls in her arms. The fae was almost as big as the (then) skydancer and green as a leaf. She said her name was Gwendira and that the clan head had decided to give a few gifts to Rochelle. She gave the hatchling the scrolls and told her to open them when she felt ready. Rochelle opened one of them immediately and in a moment she had become a lot smaller. She looked down at her wings and tail and saw that it was the same as a faes.

She waited some time before she dared to open the second scroll, but after a few days her curiosity got the best of her. Rochelle opened the scroll. She felt funny and tried to see what the change was. She could see that gems had sprouted on her wings and body. She felt heavy and for some time she had trouble moving around at all. A gift! That was not a gift! Rochelle still dislikes the head of the clan for what she did, but she can now live almost like normal with the disease.
