Mournewind is a... strange sort of being, to say the least. Many avoid her, due to her odd way of speaking and peculiar interests. She has always been fascinated by the macabre, and relishes the gruesome. There are many rumors regarding her upbringing. Many speculate that she is the byproduct of a cursed spell gone wrong, or a science experiment, or raised by a cult.

Mournewind was a perfectly normal hatchling at first. She laughed and played, just as all hatchlings do. She had a perfectly normal family and a perfectly normal lair. Her name wasn't Mounewind then. She was Hyacinth, named after her bright blue and yellow colors. She was a happy young girl. But nothing that perfect can last very long. They came in the night. No one heard them come. They whisked in in the dead of night, their cloaks swishing in the dust. That cursed group. They hunted the lands for the perfect being to make their puppet, to bend with their will into something grand, something horrendous. And at the worst possible time, Hyacinth poked her head out her window. One of those Witches glanced over at the movement, and saw a perfect little head, tilted at her curiously. She hissed something at the others, and suddenly, in a wave of dark swishing fabric, they swallowed up that happy little face and left no trace behind.  |
