Nest Co-ordination Notes wrote:
I have the lovely job of keeping nesting activity straight within the dugout. Of course, there is my own generational project I have the honor of being the originator of.
Genetic/Color Projects
Pair Myran and Joscelin's goal, specifically female:
currently no Aether is present in genes, nor any Aether genes. Likely the correct color combo will be gened into the Aether + genes to match the currently held male Raspberry - Mint - Mint Coatl in the den, who would also be gened. Makes for a nice future pair! They call them Piñata.
Piñata Breeding Pair
Raspberry - Mint - Mint
Pair Inquiry and Caramel's goal:
Currently no Mirror, Freckle, Paint, or Points is present in genes. None of these are expensive, though it may be worth scrolling the parents into Mirrors if only for the shorter cooldown.
Dog Avatar Dragon
Umber - Chocolate - White
Earth Nest!!
Pair Spring and Bonnet's goal:
the pair is 50-50 on wasp/crystal, hoping for wasp in the right colors. breed isn't a problem, since mirror gene scrolls are relatively cheap.
Bonnie (FNaF) Fan Dragon
Nightshade - Violet - Lavender
Pair Enna and Bellfaire's goal:
looking for male outcomes for two different breeding pairs due to a mix-up on my part.
Ice - Ice - Sable
Pair Tythus and Gilver's goal:
The genes have no specific goal, though once we get the proper colors we may raise the tertiary to a limited gene to match Veined. We prefer the genes match, i.e. Python and Morph, and Poison and Toxin. Polkadot is fine, as it is limited, though gembond generally looks better.
Spring - Spring - Sanguine, Chartreuse - Chartreuse - Garnet
One male, one female
Fodder Pair XXY Mates
Pair LiveLong and Prosper's goal:
We are looking for Speckle, Stripes, and Glowtail (expensive). Glowtail will likely be gened onto the correct colored hatch.
Flaxen - Flaxen - Gold
Earth Nest!!
Dog Avatar Dragon
Pairs Jasper + Meryl and Glide + Enzzae's goals:
These two pairs are looking for exactly one outcome each, one side male, the other female, in order to gene into a Banescale breeding pair meant to resemble the evergreens of the Southern Snowfields, specifically ones you can find in the Snowsquall Tundra.
Umber - Algae - Algae
Pairs Aptenodytes + Forsteri and Caldera + Pen's goals:
We are looking for one male and female dragon for the purposes of a new breeding pair, similar to above. They resemble penguins, as well as being Tundra! the genes will be Basic - Seraph - Underbelly.
Orca - Orca - Maize

I personally think it'd be most effective to keep all or most of these pairs as limited or rare breeds, since it is a rather large amount of fodder we'd be producing. We'd also want to stagger breeding times, to keep nest traffic clear. Priority should go to breeding projects (the above).
Limited breeds: Imperial and Nocturne
Rare breeds: Coatl and Wildclaw
The reasoning for this fodder project is to be technically able to come out with any color combo possible. As far as I can figure, all of these pairs should more or less manage it.

Hatchery Notes wrote:
Strong considerations are being made for a hatchery. some potential names floating around: Icebound Curios, Permafrost Relics, Archaeological Unearthlings...
Due to an error, (gene-ing a female expensively when i needed a male), there will be two pairs in the Boreal Forest style. Currently no males exist, so breeding cards are on hold. i may try and sell/give away a finished pair.

Our next pair in progress is called Piñata, and consists of Raspberry - Mint - Mint Aether with Candy, Icing, and Lace. We are also considering switching one parents tertiary for Contour or Monarch for variety. We have a male dragon with the right colors, and come closer every day to getting a female with the correct colors as well. We are already prepared with all genes except for the second Lace or Contour/Monarch.
As an aside, the original plan for Piñata was to make a subspecies. The idea of this subspecies is this: Aether with XYY or XXY in food named colors (preferably nicely contrasting ones), and the genes Candy, Icing, Lace/Contour/Monarch. With more examples, I think this could still be a very fun subspecies to have other clans enjoy. It's nicely broad and the genes are mostly quite cheap. It also includes what I see as an underused set of genes, Candy and Icing.
