Giorgio comes from an ancient lair carved into the Terraclae. His parents were Memento and Hourglass, Fire and Earth Snappers respectively. In fact, Giorgio's home clan is entirely comprised of Snappers. Giorgio began as a miner, like many young Snappers in the cave city, and he had a knack for finding the richest deposits of minerals and ores.

When the wealthy prospector, Lord Claymore Igneous Shale, arrived in the Terraclae, he was one of the first to sign up for the dig team. Lord Shale admired his spirit, and took the younger Snapper under his wing, seeing him as a potential protégé, and put him in charge of the dig team. What the self-proclaimed lord failed to see was the greed shining in Giorgio's eyes.

When the team led by Giorgio began to un-earth previously undiscovered deposits of minerals and ores, Giorgio saw his opportunity to grow his own fortune. He lied to Lord Shale about their discoveries, making the deposits out to be smaller and fewer than they actually were, and planned to mine them in secret, stealing the gems right out from under Lord Shale's nose! His plans backfired, however, when fellow miners caught him in the act, and reported back to the prospector.

Lord Shale is not known for his temper, but he was furious at Giorgio for deceiving him, and immediately removed him from his position as head of the dig team. Giorgio responded by sabotaging the dig the following day, resulting in a collapsed tunnel and a few minor injuries (no pun intended).

This was too much for Lord Shale, who had the Dragonhome Preservation Guild forcibly remove the younger Snapper from the digsite. Giorgio swore vengeance, and promised that he would be the ruin of the wealthy prospector if it was the last thing he did!

Time passed, and Lord Shale moved to the Starfall Isles with his mind set on mining the pink chalcedony and other magical minerals to be found therein. He met Precious and they became engaged, and everything seemed to be well in the world.

Then Giorgio came to town, arriving like a bad omen and claiming to be a simple merchant. He insists that he has turned over a new leaf and is on the straight and narrow path, but Lord Shale doesn't buy it for one second. He knows the younger Snapper is up to something nefarious, and he intends to find out what it is!

To only make his case worse, Giorgio has recently made good friends with Khalida, the shady artifacts dealer from the Windswept Plateau who spends far too much time with the Starwood Bandits.
