Biography

Aotearoa, or Cloud as the clan most commonly calls her, suffered before she joined Ramoth's family. Much like Vaninoroth, she was born with an affliction that affected a small number of Nocturne hatchlings; she would never grow bigger than the tiniest baby of her kind. This made surviving the Sea of a Thousand Currents extremely difficult. She attempted to integrate herself with other Nocturnes, but they were scornful of her size; she was like no other species of dragon they knew, and their mimicing was useless. Desperate, Cloud made her way into the Reef where she hid in tiny crevices before being noticed by little Chermoula, a previous member of the clan and Queen of Ramoth's Faes. Though Cher's bright colours initially frightened Cloud, she was eventually taken back to Ramoth's clan. Upon meeting Van she was determined to stay permanently, and when she got older, the two tiny Nocturnes started a family of their own.
