Biography
Name: Malakai
Mate:N/A
Calling: Scribe/Researcher
Offspring: None
Infinitely curious and hungry for knowledge, Malakai was a scribe from the start. He could always be found scribbling on parchment as a hatchling about whatever he'd seen that day. He had a hard time fitting in with other hatchlings when he was young, given that the few he was raised alongside had far more interest in roughhousing and watching Brightseer make things blow up in her lab than studying. Malakai was fascinated with Brightseer's lab too, but for very different reasons than the other younglings. He was utterly transfixed by the knowledge contained within it's walls. The why and the how of what made the things go "boom" hypnotized him far more than the explosions themselves.
Malakai is gentle, soft-spoken, and fiercely intelligent. He's no smooth talker, but he has his own sort of endearing charm about him. He's incredibly smart, having spent the majority of his life learning as much about how the world works as possible. Brightseer recruited him as her apprentice shortly before he came of age. She saw his potential and did her best to guide and nurture the soft-spoken young dragonet's curiosity.
Malakai is Brightseer's apprentice. He also functions as a researcher for the Shadowhunter clan as a whole, going out into the world and studying everything he can get his talons on. His poor eyesight makes the research difficult at times, but he has managed quite well with a pair of enchanted silver spectacles.
