once a silk-cradled infant brought into a house he shared no blood with, his identity clawed from a life that was never his own; a trainee cleric trading his viciously earned power for the life of a novelty plucking strings and claiming a name that finally matched the beating of his heart; wielder a well-honed blade christening the birth of matricidal killer, the most vile of kinslayers; wayward outcast seeking solace in a world far unlike the one he'd opened his eyes to, the fragile sibling bonds condemning him to the vicious wilds and saving him from a fate well-deserved.

nothing he'd experienced fit his skin quite so much as this: prodigal son, finding his way home, carving a trail he'd never known he'd followed but is so right beneath his feet. old gore soaks his feet, sickly wet, and the comfort of a shadow suits him well, the even heat of dank humidity swaddling him.

the wet-eyed creature that calls itself servant dogs him, pointedly keeping a step behind him, but his enthusiasm threatens to overwhelm his dim surprise at how familiar the depths feel to him. he has never been here before, certainly, but the sins of the dark are his birthright.

"master - " his voice wavers, delight catching on a quiver. indeed, he practically dances in place when he stops, though pointedly restrains himself under his curious gaze, " - you're finally home!"

it's bright out when he wakes, waves crashing the shore, rhythm brutally persistent to his ears. his eyes hurt in the sun, slow to adjust and adapted to the dark, but he thinks the beach would be picturesque, were it not for the roar of the fire and smoke blossoming skywards, swallowed by the horizon.

no feeling of panic presents itself to him, as he's empty, nothing but a headache formed into the shape of a wiry beast with fingers that itch to feel steel in their grip. the memories of what his blood promised him torn from his head, his dark father's son purposelessly wanders, once again chasing an identity to claim as his.

notes.
⟶ the reclaimed child of a bloodthirsty god. enjoyed his tenure as being daddy's very special favourite (read: he was an awful scourge for far too long) until he got fantasy amnesia and calmed down for a bit.
⟶ enjoys violence as much as he enjoys cooking. he's a good cook. it involves unconventional uses of knives and fire (these are the conventional uses, celyn).
⟶ indeed he did get reworked as dark urge baldur's gate and this is as flight rising friendly as i can make that!
