The bright morning sun barely peaked over the tree lined ridge and lit up the puffy cotton-ball clouds like a beacon. The mountains had become a familiar backdrop recently, but then again Neil had always been around mountains and the outdoors. The cold and rain not so much but it was better than a barren, scorching desert. Neil took a deep breath of the dew-laden air. It was green and full of the life of the forest.
