Biography
On the Night of Nocturne, the Sunsinger clan was awake and well as the long darkness loomed overhead. It was an evening of dance and food, and vivid tales spun by the lorekeepers. None of the children in Lightweaver's land paid heed that their deity's dark sister had sprung into a secretive game.
None of the lair knew that countless, mysterious eggs of shadow were now scattered across the land, that a number of strange beings held secrets to a previously-unknown species of dragon.
And none of the lair knew that as Ondal and Andromeda, the long-paired couple that had snuck away for a moonlit stroll, had stumbled upon one of these bizarre eggs. They had taken it into their care, and not even halfway through their slumber that night did it hatch.
Neither of them had seen a Nocturne dragon before, none of the lair had, but it took to them like any child they'd hatched had. The two, who had raised many clutches together, whose children always moved on to other lands, adopted the parentless hatchling.
Sonata, named for her already developed taste in music (thanks to her musical parents) and a delightful hum she produced, has since been welcomed into the lair, and is doted on constantly.
