Brighid was an unnamed soul in the auction house when the lady Eolande went looking for this rare new breed of dragon. Seeing this gorgeous shadowling, she jumped at the opportunity to welcome this youngster into the lair. Currently, Brighid tries her best to protect the lair at night and keep watch over new hatchlings. She organizes the guardian familiars and keeps the schedule for watch going smoothly. Her own Ember Mouse familiar simply goes by Mousie, and she lives in Brighid's cape.
Brighid was named after the Yuletide goddess of the same name. Brighid was the daughter of the Dagda, another goddess. Brighid taught the smiths the arts of fire tending and the secrets of metal work. Brighid's flame, like the flame of the new light, pierces the darkness of the spirit and mind, while the Dagda's cauldron assures that Nature will always provide for all the children.
